SIS & LMS Officer (Student Information System and Learning Management System Officer)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and operate the Student Information System (SIS) and ensure regular updates of student data.
• Manage and operate the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, content uploading, and virtual class management.
• Oversee student registration, course enrollment, grade entry, and timetable generation, ensuring seamless synchronization between SIS and LMS.
• Create and manage user accounts, access permissions, and password resets for students, faculty, and staff.
• Provide technical and functional support to all users regarding SIS and LMS usage.
• Coordinate SIS–LMS integration to ensure accurate synchronization of students, courses, and grades.
• Generate periodic reports and statistics on attendance, academic performance, grades, and LMS activity.
• Collaborate with developers or vendors to enhance system features and performance.
• Conduct regular backups, apply updates, and monitor system stability and performance.
• Implement IT and data security policies to protect student information and system integrity.
• Train faculty members and administrative staff on LMS functionalities (content management, assessments, student tracking).
• Coordinate with departments such as Admissions, Registration, HR, and IT Infrastructure to ensure smooth system operations.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in managing or operating academic systems (SIS and/or LMS).
• Good knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL) and system integration (APIs, Web Services).
• Strong skills in Excel and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data confidentiality.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with well-known SIS and LMS platforms such as Banner, PeopleSoft, EduWave, Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or custom university systems.
• Knowledge of SIS–LMS integration and APIs.
• Familiarity with web hosting environments, SSL, and data backup practices.
• Relevant professional certifications in LMS administration, data management, or information security.
• Experience in building analytical dashboards and institutional reports.
