Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology Launches the Second Edition of the Student Research Forum
Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) organized the second edition of the Undergraduate Research Forum, highlighting students’ innovations and showcasing their research achievements under the patronage of Dr. Yehia Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Reda Hegazy, University President; Prof. Ehab Saeed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Community Service; and in the presence of Prof. Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
The opening session was attended by Prof. Ahmed Nower, Vice President of Sadat City University for Graduate Studies and Research, along with a distinguished group of academic leaders from Egyptian universities, experts, faculty members, and students.
Prof. Reda Hegazy affirmed that the university adopts a distinctive educational philosophy that does not rely solely on memorization or written texts, but rather focuses on practical application and building students’ personalities.
The University President pointed out that hosting such a large number of judges and experts reflects the university’s standing, especially as it is a relatively new institution that is steadily moving in the right direction.
He further emphasized that presenting projects before judges provides students with invaluable experience that prepares them for future job interviews, stressing that students are the محور of the educational process, stating: “The student is the master of the educational process.”
Prof. Ahmed Nower, Vice President of Sadat City University for Graduate Studies and Research, expressed his pleasure in participating in the forum, noting the ongoing collaboration between Sadat City University and Al-Ryada University over the past period, which is expected to expand further, particularly in research fields and applied projects serving the community.
In the same context, Prof. Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, welcomed attendees to the second edition of the forum, affirming that the event represents the culmination of the efforts of faculty members and their assistants, whose work has matured in students’ minds and transformed into promising research projects.
Prof. Reda Hegazy, accompanied by college deans and several faculty members, toured the student projects exhibition. He stopped at various booths to listen directly to students’ explanations of their research and applied projects, affirming the university’s continued support for outstanding ideas and its commitment to transforming them into implementable initiatives.
In the closing session, members of the judging panel were honored, and certificates of appreciation and shields were awarded to students who won the best research projects.
