Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology Launches the Second Edition of the Student Research Forum

Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) organized the activities of the second edition of the Undergraduate Research Forum, highlighting students’ innovations and showcasing their research achievements under the patronage of Dr. Yehia Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Ehab Saeed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Community Service; and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The opening session was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nower, Vice President of Sadat City University for Graduate Studies and Research, along with a distinguished group of academic leaders from Egyptian universities, experts, faculty members, and students.

Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy emphasized that the university adopts a different educational philosophy that does not rely solely on memorization or written texts, but rather focuses on practical application and building the student’s character.

The University President noted that hosting such a large number of judges and experts reflects the university’s standing, especially as it is a newly established institution that is moving steadily in the right direction. 

He further stressed that presenting a project before a panel of judges represents a transformative experience for students, preparing them for future job interviews. He underscored that the student is the (core) of the educational process, stating that the student is the master of the educational process.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nower, Vice President of Sadat City University for Graduate Studies and Research, expressed his pleasure at participating in the forum, highlighting the ongoing cooperation between Sadat City University and Al-Ryada University over the past period, which is expected to expand further in research fields and applied projects that serve the community.

In the same context, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, welcomed attendees to the second edition of the forum, affirming that the event represents the culmination of the efforts of faculty members and their assistants, which have matured in students’ minds and transformed into promising research projects.

Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, accompanied by college deans and several faculty members, toured the student projects exhibition. He stopped at various booths to listen directly to students’ presentations of their research and applied projects, reaffirming the university’s continued support for outstanding ideas and its commitment to transforming projects into implementable initiatives.

During the closing session, members of the judging committee were honored, and certificates of appreciation and shields were awarded to students who won the best research project awards.
