Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) organized a visit to the 56th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair under the patronage of Dr. Yahia Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of the University. The event, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo and organized by the General Egyptian Book Organization, takes place under the theme “Read… In the Beginning Was the Word”, with the participation of over 80 countries, 1,300 publishing houses, and 6,000 exhibitors.
Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy emphasized that student visits to the book fair play a vital role in enhancing their reading and research skills, broadening their cultural awareness, and fostering intellectual development. He highlighted the university’s commitment to promoting student activities and utilizing the mid-year vacation to engage students in various events, encouraging them to participate in knowledge-driven initiatives that contribute to shaping a well-informed generation aware of national, regional, and global issues.
During the visit, students toured the various publishing booths, attended seminars and cultural events, and explored scientific and literary books to expand their knowledge in different fields. They also captured memorable moments by taking photos inside the exhibition sections, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
