Al-Ryada University Honors Top High School Graduates in Monufia Governorate

In a remarkable celebration, Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) honored the top high school graduates from Monufia Governorate, awarding them shields, certificates of appreciation, and financial prizes in recognition of their excellence and distinction. The event was attended by Dr. Yahya Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, University President; Ambassador and former Minister Moshira Khattab, Member of the Board of Trustees; and Mr. Khaled El-Nemr, Assistant Secretary-General of Monufia Governorate.
Dr. Yahya Mabrouk announced that the university is offering 15 full scholarships to Monufia’s top high school graduates — the top five students in each stream (Science, Mathematics, and Literature).
Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the top students and their families to Al-Ryada University, emphasizing that after success comes the challenge of maintaining excellence, and that the university aims to be a strong starting point for a new phase of achievement.
He highlighted that Al-Ryada University stands out for its focus on quality education, hands-on training, and preparing students for the job market by equipping them with diverse skills. He also stressed the university’s commitment to scientific research and international publication, which has contributed to its presence in global rankings.
Dr. Hegazy offered several pieces of advice to the top students, urging them to study the fields they are passionate about to truly excel. He noted that students from Monufia’s villages studying at the university are keen to achieve excellence, learn, and make full use of the resources and facilities provided to support educational activities.
He added that the university is awaiting approval to launch three new faculties — Pharmacy, Health Sciences Technology, and Arts & Design — and is working on establishing a university hospital as the foundation of the Faculty of Medicine, to train students and serve the surrounding region, located along the vital Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road.
Ambassador and former Minister Moshira Khattab, a member of the Board of Trustees, expressed her pride as a native of Monufia in attending the ceremony to honor the top students and meet their parents, who play a vital role in their children’s success. She affirmed that Al-Ryada University is an educational landmark focusing on practical specialties required by the labor market, with facilities and laboratories that clearly show it was built to serve educational goals and the community.
Mr. Khaled El-Nemr, Assistant Secretary-General of Monufia Governorate, described the celebration as a true reflection of the efforts made by Al-Ryada University in supporting the educational process, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the parents who supported their children throughout their educational journey.
The event was also attended by Mr. Hossam Mabrouk, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Engineer Ahmed Negm, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees; the deans of the faculties; the university’s academic and administrative leaders; and the students’ parents.
The audience listened to the top students and their parents share their stories of perseverance throughout the academic year, their aspirations for the future, and the faculties they wish to join.
