As part of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) celebrations of the Glorious October Victory Anniversary, the University’s Student Activities Department organized a field visit to the October War Panorama Museum in Cairo, under the patronage of Dr. Yehia Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of the University.
The visit began with a guided tour inside the seminar hall, attended by Major General (Staff) Ahmed El-Sherbiny, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Administrative Affairs, and Mr. Said Abdel-Azim, Director of the Student Activities Department. Through an engaging interactive experience, students learned about the heroic details of the October 6th epic, watching documentary films and realistic scenes that embodied the heroism and great sacrifices of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
The tour continued inside the Hall of Endurance and Challenge, which features the 3D film “Al-Somoud” (Endurance). The film depicts the stages of rebuilding the Egyptian Armed Forces and the War of Attrition after 1967, in preparation for the victory, accompanied by immersive sound and visual effects that recreated the atmosphere of battle.
Dr. Ahmed Eid from the Faculty of Physical Therapy also joined the tour, supervised by the Student Activities Department. Students were guided through the open-air exhibition area, which displays a collection of Egyptian military weapons and captured enemy equipment used during the war. The tour then moved to the Panoramic Hall, featuring a rotating circular theater overlooking a massive oil painting and a 3D battle model, enhanced by interactive sound and light systems that vividly depicted the crossing operation and the spirit of victory.
The visit concluded with group photos in a patriotic atmosphere filled with pride and belonging, reflecting Al-Ryada University students’ deep appreciation for their nation’s history and the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
