Students of the Faculty of Engineering Shine in the Self-Driving Car Competition
As part of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology’s commitment to encouraging applied scientific research and developing students’ skills in modern technology fields, and under the patronage of Yehia Mabrouk Farag, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Reda Hegazy, President of the University, the Robotics Club at the Faculty of Engineering organized the “Self-Driving Cars for Path Tracking” competition.
The competition was held under the supervision of Mohamed Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, with the participation of 38 male and female students from the first and second academic levels of the faculty. Participants were divided into five teams, with each team designing an autonomous car to compete in several challenges.
Reda Hegazy, President of the University, accompanied by Ihab Saeed, Vice President for Graduate Studies, toured the competition activities and expressed his admiration for the students’ outstanding performance and their strong capabilities in robot design and programming. This reflects the university’s role in preparing qualified engineers capable of keeping pace with the latest technological developments.
