For four days, Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology hosted Professor Dr. Diasuke Tomita, Professor of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tokyo, an expert in medical education and curriculum development for colleges in the medical sector at Harvard Medical University, and a pioneer in performing surgical operations using artificial intelligence and metaverse technology.
During this period, many events took place, as the guest was welcomed by Mr. Yehia Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Ehab Saeed, Acting President of the University, the Deans of facilities , and the Secretary General of the University, where Prof. Ehab Saeed conveyed the Greetings from the university family to the Japanese government and people, presenting a definition of the university in terms of its establishment, colleges and academic programs, and the successes that the university has achieved since its inception.
He also accompanied the guest delegation on a tour of the university campus.
For his part, Prof. Diasuke Tomita expressed his thanks and gratitude for the warm reception he received during his first visit to the university. He also expressed his great admiration for the university campus in terms of nature, location, and modernity of the buildings.
The day concluded with a signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between Al-Ryada University of Science and Technology and the Japanese Oral and Dental Health Foundation (JUHA), through which a group of activities will be implemented that include academic cooperation between Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology and Tokyo Medical University, the most important of which is the digital transformation of academic curricula. The protocol also allows for conducting Joint research projects between the two sides, as well as implementing a number of workshops and training courses on a periodic basis.
