Al-Ryada University of Science and Technology (RST) was included in the first edition of the Interdisciplinary Disciplines of The Times Classification 2025 under the category of “Observer Institutions”. This first edition of the type measured the extent of the universities’ contributions and commitment to multidisciplinary sciences.
Professor Reda Hegazy, President of the University, pointed out that the registration of the University’s attendance in international classifications only two years after its establishment is the result of the direction of the University administration and the Board of Trustees chaired by Dr. Yahya Mabrouk to provide all the necessary possibilities to upgrade the educational and research system.
The President of the University explained that the inclusion of the University of Leadership in classification and within one category with universities established dozens of years ago is a testament to the efforts made to promote interdisciplinary scientific research since the University’s inception and congratulates the University’s staff of academic and administrative leaders and associate and researchers of the University for this distinction. He stressed that the coming period will see intensified attention to the development of the scientific research system and increased international scientific publishing in journals and periodicals indexed globally and provide continued support to researchers and innovators.
The Ministry of Higher Education announced the results of the first edition of the Times’ International Classification of Interdisciplinary Disciplines for 2025, which showed the inclusion of 27 Egyptian universities in the classification, the emergence of 4 Egyptian universities in the top 100 ranked universities worldwide and 7 Egyptian universities in the top 200 world universities.
