Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology Honored at the Delta Region Universities Summit for Sustainability and Development

Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology, took part in the Delta Region Universities Summit for Sustainability and Development, held under the theme “From Challenge to Progress”, and organized by Mansoura University. The summit marked the conclusion of the academic year’s regional university activities and served as a key platform for exchanging ideas and expertise among Delta universities on pressing sustainability topics.
The summit tackled several core themes, including climate change, coastal erosion, biodiversity, architectural sustainability, digital transformation, industrial zones, the circular economy, educational challenges, and pollution.
In recognition of Al-Ryada University’s distinguished contributions to the Delta region’s university activities, Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, presented a commemorative shield to Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Khater also reviewed the achievements of the Delta Universities Alliance during the 2024–2025 academic year, during which Mansoura University presided over the alliance. He then officially handed over the presidency of the alliance to Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, in line with the alliance’s rotational leadership system. This rotation aims to strengthen cooperation, promote integration among member universities, and enhance academic and administrative experience-sharing to benefit the region’s higher education system.
The summit’s opening was attended by several university presidents, including:

Prof. Dr. Montaser Doweidar – President of Samanoud Technological University
The event also brought together experts, specialists, and representatives from industrial and community sectors, all working toward a more sustainable and integrated future for Egypt’s Delta region.
