Network Administrator – Senior

Overview:
Lead the university’s network infrastructure as a Senior Network Administrator. Ensure high performance, security, and reliability across all networks while guiding junior staff.
Responsibilities:
• All Specialist responsibilities, plus:
• Design and implement complex network architectures.
• Lead network upgrade and expansion projects.
• Implement advanced network security solutions.
• Mentor junior network administrators.
• Plan network capacity and future expansions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or Information Systems.
• 5–8+ years of experience in network administration.
• Advanced knowledge of routing/switching, firewalls, wireless networks, and security.
• Leadership and project management skills.
Key Technical Skills:
• Advanced LAN/WAN administration
• Firewall, VPN, and security management
• Wireless network design and optimization
• Cloud networking (Microsoft 365 / Azure)
• Backup and disaster recovery (Veeam)
