3 Cooperation Protocols and 10 Scholarships: Al-Ryada University Strengthens Its Partnership with Monufia Governorate
Al-Ryada University and Monufia Governorate Strengthen Institutional Partnership Through Three Cooperation Protocols to Support Development and Capacity Building
In a new step reflecting Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology’s commitment to expanding its community role and strengthening its partnerships with state institutions, Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology and former Minister of Education, and Major General Amr El-Ghareeb, Governor of Monufia, signed three joint cooperation protocols aimed at supporting development efforts, building capacities, investing in youth, and maximizing the academic, research, and training expertise and resources of both sides, in a manner that serves the people of the governorate and supports its development efforts.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Yahya Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology; Dr. Ehab Saeed, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies, Research, and Community Service; and Dr. Hegazy Idris, Advisor to the University President for International Cooperation. Representing Monufia Governorate were Mr. Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Governor, and Major General Abdullah El-Deeb, Secretary-General of the Governorate. Their presence underscored the importance of establishing an integrated institutional framework for cooperation and translating partnership areas into practical programs and initiatives with tangible impact.
Dr. Yahya Mabrouk emphasized that signing the three cooperation protocols represents an important step toward strengthening the concept of effective partnership between higher education institutions and executive authorities. He noted that Al-Ryada University seeks to leverage its academic, research, and training capabilities to serve the community, support the people of Monufia Governorate, empower young people, and nurture outstanding and innovative talents.
He explained that this partnership will pave the way for implementing training and development programs, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, and transforming promising ideas into viable projects and initiatives. He further affirmed that these protocols mark the beginning of broader cooperation between the two sides during the coming phase.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy affirmed that the protocols place investment in people, innovation, and capacity building at the forefront of Al-Ryada University’s priorities. He explained that cooperation with Monufia Governorate represents a practical translation of the University’s role in supporting national development plans and connecting education and scientific research with the needs of society.
He added that the cooperation includes the development and implementation of specialized training programs and workshops to enhance the skills of young people and administrative and technical personnel, in addition to supporting research projects related to sustainable development issues, particularly in the fields of education and healthcare.
The University President also announced the provision of 10 scholarships for outstanding students from Monufia Governorate, in accordance with the University’s regulations, providing students with distinguished educational opportunities and encouraging them to pursue excellence and academic achievement.
The cooperation also includes supporting innovation and entrepreneurship by providing assistance to innovators, creators, and entrepreneurs, as well as launching the initiative “Your Success Journey Starts Here” in cooperation with the Governorate. The initiative aims to nurture innovative ideas and transform them into viable projects, while enhancing young people’s opportunities to actively contribute to the development process.
