Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology Iftar Party

In an annual tradition filled with an atmosphere of warmth and compassion in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) organized a collective Iftar at the university campus. The event was attended by university members and distinguished guests, including academic, political, community, executive, and religious leaders, as well as business figures.
The ceremony began before the Maghrib call to prayer with a recitation of Quranic verses by students from the university’s faculties, followed by a religious sermon delivered by Sheikh Al-Shaḥḥāt Azazi, one of the scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
Dr. Yahya Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Dr. Reda Hegazy, University President, honored the winners of the Quran Memorization Competition. The awardees included:
Abdelrahman Marzouk and Menna Ali Mohamed from the Faculty of Physical Therapy, for memorizing the entire Quran.
Shahd Amr Abdelaziz from the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Habiba Bahaa Zakaria from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, for memorizing half of the Quran.
Ameera Khairy Mohamed from the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Nourin Jameel from the Faculty of Nursing, and Haneen Nasser from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, for memorizing a quarter of the Quran.
The event continued after Iftar with a recitation of Quranic verses by Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Qazzaz. The university’s choir performed a collection of religious chants and hymns, and the celebration concluded with a Tanoura dance performance.
The attendees praised this annual tradition of the Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology family, highlighting its role in fostering an atmosphere of unity, spirituality, and social bonding among university members during the blessed month of Ramadan.
