Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology set to launch student elections tomorrow Thursday 14 November 2024
The student elections at Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) will begin on Thursday after the end of the university administration under the patronage of Dr. Yehia Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of preparations for the organization of the elections and the presentation of a democratic practice befitting the name of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology. Professor Reda Hegazy stressed the importance of adhering to the controls of the electoral process and fostering the spirit of constructive competition among students, noting that student elections are an important pillar in building the student’s personality and practising student activities that refine him culturally, socially and sports. Professor Mamdouh Saleh, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, explained that the timetable for the elections at the University is as follows: Open for nomination and submission of forms tomorrow, Thursday, November 14, 2024, announcement of preliminary statements on November 17, submission of appeals on Monday, November 18, examination on Tuesday, November 19, announcement of final statements on Wednesday, November 20, election publicity on Thursday, November 21, first round, counting and announcement of results on Sunday, November 24. Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Saleh pointed out that the university set the conditions for the candidacy, which includes that the student is an Egyptian citizen, good course of conduct, and has a documented student activity except for the first year students. He must be new to his classroom, he must not have failed in more than two articles in the credit hours system, he has not been subjected to disciplinary sanctions or criminal sentences against honour, and he must not belong to any illegal organizations.
