Al-Ryada University leaders join their students in the opening festival of student activities

In an atmosphere filled with excitement and team spirit, Al-Ryada University of Science and Technology (RST) organized its annual Sports Festival on campus, marking the beginning of the 2025/2026 student activities season.
The festival witnessed wide participation from students across different faculties, alongside university vice presidents, deans, advisors, and both administrative and academic leaders, led by: Dr. Yehia Mabrouk – Chairman of the Board of Trustees
Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy – University President
In his speech, the University President expressed his appreciation to the Education and Student Affairs Sector, headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Sharbiny, and to the Student Activities Department for their outstanding efforts last year. Their achievements included winning second place in the Central Delta Universities Competition and earning the bronze award for “Best University in Student Activities” from the Supreme Council of Universities.
The festival featured a spirited football match between faculty & staff and university students, ending with a 3–1 victory for the faculty team.
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Yehia Mabrouk and Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy presented the championship cup to the winning team and awarded medals, certificates of appreciation, and financial prizes to outstanding student talents, including: Omar Owais – Second Place in Colloquial Poetry
Mohamed Karam Abu-Agila – Third Place in Lyric Poetry
(both winners in the First Delta Universities Forum).
In addition, Mr. Said Abdel-Azim – Director General of the Student Activities Department – received a Certificate of Appreciation for the department’s distinguished role in helping the university achieve the bronze award at the Supreme Council of Universities competitions.
Once again, Al-Ryada University proves that student activities are a cornerstone in shaping leaders and building a well-rounded university experience.
