Director of Information Technology
Role Description
The Director of Information Technology will lead and oversee the university’s IT department to ensure smooth operations and the implementation of technology solutions. Responsibilities include managing IT operations, developing IT strategies, ensuring network security, and aligning technology initiatives with the institution’s goals. This full-time position is on-site, based at El Sadat City, and requires effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and implement IT strategies that support the organization’s overall objectives. This includes assessing current technological needs and planning for future upgrades and innovations.• Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective technical support services. This includes managing IT staff, monitoring system performance, and resolving technical issues
• Establish and enforce security protocols to protect the organization’s data and technology infrastructure from cyber threats. This includes monitoring for potential security incidents and responding to breaches.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, setting goals, providing training, and fostering a positive work environment. This includes mentoring staff and promoting professional development
• Work closely with other department heads to identify how IT can support their needs and improve overall efficiency within the organization
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to make informed decisions that benefit the organization. This includes researching new tools and systems that can enhance productivity
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
•8-15 years of experience in IT management.•Strong expertise in IT Management, IT Operations, and overall Information Technology leadership
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in formulating and implementing IT Strategies to support organizational objectives• In-depth knowledge of Network Security and associated best practices
• Ability to oversee and ensure the reliability of IT systems and infrastructure
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
