The University President inspects examination committees and grading processes in the control rooms
Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology, inspected the examination committees at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence. He checked on the students’ feedback regarding the exam questions, emphasizing the importance of the course instructor’s presence during the exam to address student inquiries and ensure there were no complaints about the questions.
He also visited the central control rooms of the university’s faculties to monitor the grading process using electronic correction systems. He listened to the heads of the control rooms regarding the workflow of electronic correction for bubble sheet exams and the presence of faculty members involved in grading and data entry.
During his tour, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Saber, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the university president highlighted that electronic grading ensures accuracy by minimizing human errors associated with manual correction. He also noted that it saves time and effort by speeding up the grading process, allowing thousands of exam sheets to be corrected in record time compared to manual correction.
Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazy pointed out that the training courses organized by the university administration for faculty members and students during the first semester have facilitated the smooth use of electronic grading technology. These courses helped in preparing and correctly formatting bubble sheets for the grading system. He stressed the importance of adhering to the scheduled grading deadlines to ensure the timely completion of corrections and the announcement of results to students.
