A Student Delegation from the Faculty of Engineering Visits Al Jawhara Ceramics Factory
As part of Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology’s commitment to linking academic study with practical application, preparing students, equipping them with the skills and competencies required by the labor market, and introducing them to the latest technologies used in factories and production companies, under the patronage of Dr. Yehia Mabrouk Farag and Prof. Reda Hegazy, the Faculty of Engineering organized a field visit for a student delegation to Al Jawhara Ceramics Factory in Sadat City.
The visit was supervised by Prof. Mohamed Kamel and included the participation of 30 students, along with a number of faculty members and teaching assistants.
The visit included an inspection tour of the various production lines, where students learned about the different stages of ceramic manufacturing, starting from raw materials through production, packaging, and storage. The delegation also attended a detailed presentation by the factory engineers on quality systems, occupational safety and health standards, and export mechanisms to international markets.
Prof. Lamia El-Shennawy emphasized that the Faculty’s administration aims to provide students with direct practical experience and enhance their awareness of the latest technologies used in the Egyptian industrial sector, supporting the university’s vision of graduating qualified professionals capable of competing in the labor market. She also noted that the students observed the latest technologies used in production lines and the various stages of ceramic manufacturing, from raw material preparation, shaping, and firing processes, to final inspection and quality assurance.
At the conclusion of the visit, the students took commemorative photos and expressed their appreciation to the factory management for the warm reception and the distinguished tour across the various departments.
