As part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s strategy to build digital capabilities and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and specialized organizations in the fields of telecommunications and information technology, the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has signed a cooperation protocol with Al Ryada University for Science & Technology (RST).
The protocol aims to support the training of students and graduates through the Institute’s latest advanced technology programs, develop their skills, and align educational outcomes with labor market needs, while also enhancing cooperation in scientific research and innovation.
The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazi, President of Al Ryada University for Science & Technology and former Minister of Education, and Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecommunication Institute. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of leaders from both the Institute and the University at the Institute’s headquarters in Smart Village.
Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazi emphasized that Al Ryada University for Science & Technology is guided by a vision focused on developing students who possess knowledge, skills, and the ability to think, analyze, create, and engage in continuous learning, enabling them to compete in the labor market and create opportunities. He noted that the rapid development of technology and artificial intelligence makes it essential to strengthen practical education and align academic learning with labor market needs.
He explained that the University’s location in Sadat City, at the heart of an integrated industrial community, provides broad opportunities for practical training and for connecting graduation projects and scientific research with industry needs. He also emphasized the University’s commitment to expanding partnerships with various institutions and strengthening training, scientific research, and innovation.
Prof. Dr. Hegazi noted that cooperation with the National Telecommunication Institute represents an important addition to the University’s educational ecosystem by providing practical training programs for students and graduates, facilitating knowledge exchange, organizing workshops and conferences, and supporting joint supervision of graduation projects, research, and postgraduate studies.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Khattab emphasized that the National Telecommunication Institute is committed to building effective partnerships with universities and educational institutions to provide specialized training opportunities that contribute to preparing qualified professionals in line with labor market requirements. He noted that cooperation with Al Ryada University for Science & Technology opens new avenues for integration between education, training, and practical application.
The protocol includes cooperation in implementing training programs in several areas of emerging technology, exchanging expertise, and organizing specialized workshops and events. This will enable students to acquire practical skills alongside their academic studies and enhance their readiness to work in the telecommunications and information technology sectors.
The protocol also enables RST students to enroll in the Institute’s summer training programs related to future jobs and labor market needs, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT) and Embedded Systems, Mobile Communications, Fiber Optics, Web Design and Graphics, and Freelancing.
Students who successfully complete the training programs will receive certificates accredited by the National Telecommunication Institute, with opportunities to obtain international certifications in relevant fields.
The cooperation also includes supporting graduation projects and scientific research, encouraging innovation and technological applications, and contributing to transforming academic knowledge into practical solutions aligned with labor market and industry needs. This further supports efforts to develop a new generation of digital professionals capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the telecommunications and information technology sectors.
