Al Ryada University Organizes an Introductory Conference on Huawei’s Annual Competition

Al Ryada University for Science and Technology (RST) organized an introductory conference in collaboration with Huawei ICT Academy to introduce the Huawei ICT Competition, under the patronage of Dr. Yehia Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazi, University President. The conference comes as part of the University’s ongoing collaboration with Huawei ICT Academy, with RST serving as Huawei Academy’s strategic partner in the Delta Region. It aimed to highlight technological training opportunities in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing. 💡 During the conference, the annual innovation competition organized by Huawei Academy was officially announced, with the participation of Eng. Mohamed Younes and Eng. Marian Sherif, Huawei ICT Academy Development Officers. The competition provides participating students with the opportunity to compete for top positions and qualify to represent Egypt in the international competition. 🎓 Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, emphasized that the partnership with Huawei Academy helps bridge the gap between academic curricula and labor market requirements. He encouraged students from all faculties and disciplines to take advantage of the available training programs and develop their digital skills. Prof. Dr. Lamia El-Shennawy, Director of Huawei Academy at RST, highlighted the progress of the collaboration in student training and instructor qualification through the Training of Trainers (ToT) programs. She revealed that 600 students have benefited from training programs in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity. These efforts have resulted in a remarkable achievement, as Noura Mohamed Gaber, a student at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, won the regional gold medal in the Cloud Computing track at the Huawei ICT Practice Competition 2026. 🏆 Huawei Academy’s annual ICT Innovation Competition is an international platform for young student innovators and creative talents. It aims to unlock students’ creative potential, develop their technological capabilities, and provide them with opportunities to represent Egypt at international competitions.
