Prof. Dr. Reda Hegazi, President of Al Ryada University for Science & Technology (RST) and former Minister of Education, conducted an extensive tour of the University’s faculties as the 2026/2027 academic year began, to monitor the regularity of classes and welcome students while following up on university activities.
The tour included the Faculties of Business Administration, Nursing, Engineering, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, and Pharmacy, in the presence of university leaders, faculty deans, faculty members, and teaching assistants.
Prof. Dr. Hegazi met with students inside their classrooms, emphasizing that the beginning of a new academic year represents a genuine starting point for building their future. He noted that the University is committed to providing an educational environment and training opportunities that help students discover their potential and prepare for the labor market.
The University President stressed that a university degree alone is no longer sufficient, emphasizing that acquiring skills, gaining practical training, and participating in student activities are essential elements for achieving success and developing the ability to compete.
He encouraged students to benefit from the expertise of faculty members and not to limit their university experience to lectures and examinations. He also highlighted the importance of student activities in developing leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Prof. Dr. Hegazi concluded his message by emphasizing that the University provides opportunities, while the responsibility for making the most of them rests with the students, saying: “Make the most of every opportunity available to you, and develop the skills that will enable you to compete and succeed.”
