Activities of the first scientific and sports festival at Al-Ryada University for Science and Technology under the title “The genes of athletically gifted and creative people in Egypt: a journey into the depths of history.”
This comes under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in the presence of the Deputy Minister, Prof. Abdullah AlBatash, and the Deputy Governor of Menoufia, Mr. Mohamed Mousa, and under the supervision of the Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Yahya Mabrouk, and the President of the University, Prof. Ehab Said.
The festival was opened by welcoming the guests by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the University President, showing an introductory video about the university and the heroes of the UNIFY EGYPT Foundation, and then going through the various activities, which include:
– The University’s Scientific Research Unit “UGRF” organized a scientific competition for university students to choose the best group of scientific posters under the supervision of a group of arbitrators from the faculty members of the university’s colleges.
– Opening the Sports Day by hosting and honoring Special Olympics champions with mental disabilities, with the aim of community integration through sporting events with university students.
A scientific day was held that included introductory lectures about the Scientific Committee of the National Sports Genome Project under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Center for Medical Research and Regenerative Medicine and the Academy of Scientific Research.
The festival concluded by honoring the students who excelled athletically and ending the festival activities.
In a related context, the attendees praised the festival, expressing their happiness with this educational edifice, which in turn serves the educational process and the community of Sadat City.
