As part of Al Ryada University for Science & Technology (RST)’s commitment to developing students’ skills and enhancing their practical experience through training opportunities at prestigious international universities, a delegation of six RST students, accompanied by an academic supervisor, began the first stage of their summer training program at Kyushu University in Japan. The seven-day training visit was coordinated by a member of Kyushu University’s Global Health Team.

The first day began with introductions and an overview of Kyushu University and its academic team, in an atmosphere reflecting the strong cooperation and shared commitment to building academic bridges between Egypt and Japan.

The Future of the Nursing Profession and Expected Developments in Healthcare in light of the rapid technological advancements taking place across the healthcare sector.
This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Naoki Nakashima on one of the key topics of the visit: the Portable Health Clinic (PHC) 
.
The PHC is an innovative model that opens new horizons for delivering healthcare services through technology and digital solutions, particularly in areas that require more flexible healthcare delivery models. It represents an integrated network connecting multiple disciplines, including information technology, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, entrepreneurship, and more.
Professor Rafiq Islam, along with the rest of the team, then conducted a workshop on telemedicine and remote healthcare, highlighting how collaboration among these different disciplines is essential to the success of such innovative models.
The workshop also included discussions on developing practical solutions to social and healthcare challenges through an interdisciplinary approach—from identifying and presenting a problem to developing a sustainable solution.
